New morning of missions in the Black Sea area. At least 4 NATO assets are engaged in the area at this time.
- A NATO Boeing E-3A (reg. LX-N90456 – c/s MAGIC12) that took off from Konya AB is located over eastern Romania after refueling with a USAF Boeing KC-135R;
- An USAF Northrop Grumman RQ-4B (reg. 09-2039 – c/s FORTE10) that took off from NAS Sigonella last night is flying over the western Black Sea;
- A Turkish Navy ATR P-72MPA (reg. TCB-703 – c/s MARTI37) is tracked near the Turkish coast;
- Finally, a USNavy Lockheed EP-3E (reg. 156517) is orbiting over the Danube Delta after taking off from Souda Bay AB this morning.
UPDATE
In the course of the morning, while the NATO AWACS continued north, a RAF Boeing RC-135W (reg. ZZ665) arrived in the area and is orbiting over the western Black Sea.
