On October 7, 2023, Hamas, the militant group that controls the Gaza Strip, launched a series of rocket attacks against Israel. The attacks killed over 100 people, injured 900, and took dozens hostage. In response, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) launched a series of airstrikes against targets in Gaza.

The IDF’s airstrikes targeted a variety of targets, including Hamas’s military infrastructures.

IAF F-16s have bombed several buildings in Gaza, killing about 200 people.

The Israeli Navy has attacked militants attempting to enter Israel by sea.

Meanwhile, the airspace in southern Israel remains closed.
