US carriers in the Mediterranean

Currently, there are two United States aircraft carriers in the Mediterranean.

The USS Eisenhower (CVN-68) is sailing in the central Mediterranean heading east. Its final destination is the Persian Gulf, but it is not excluded that it will operate for a few days in the eastern Mediterranean together with the USS Ford (CVN-78).

The latter is sailing south of Cyprus, where it has been operating for several weeks.

We know where they are located from the tracks of Grumman C-2A that left their respective carriers for NAS Sigonella and for Souda Bay AB.
