Continue eastward navigation of the Russian Navy pair formed by the tug Sergey Balk and the Kilo-class submarine Ufa.

The submarine is expected to join the Pacific fleet, but it is not ruled out that it may make a stop in Tartus before entering the Suez Canal. Today, the two units are located south of Sicily and have not gone unnoticed.

A USN Boeing P-8A, returning from a mission in the eastern Mediterranean, orbited the two Russian vessels for some time before returning to NAS Sigonella.
