Italian eyes on Kaliningrad

Two years into the Russian invasion of Ukraine, NATO forces continue their commitment on the eastern flank of the Alliance.

Yesterday, we tracked a lengthy mission (7 hours and 56 minutes) of an Italian Air Force Gulfstream E.550 CAEW (reg. MM62293) in northern Poland.

The aircraft took off from Pratica di Mare AB at 10:02 and conducted surveillance over central Poland and the southern enclave of Kaliningrad before returning to Pratica di Mare around 18:00.

In recent days, an Italian Eurofighter detachment has also arrived in Poland.
