A  RAF Boeing RC-135W (reg. ZZ665), departed from RAf Waddington, is carrying out this afternoon a surveillance mission over the Black Sea.

After what happened on September 2022 (an RAF RC-135 was intercepted by Russian fighters who fired a missile by mistake) two RAF Eurofigther FGR.4s are escorting the aircraft over the Black Sea.

The two Typhoons departed from RAF Akrotiri, Cyprus, are operating with the support of a RAF tanker, an Airbus KC.2 (reg. ZZ330 – c/s KAYAK31), which also took off from Cyprus.

In the area is operating also a USNavy Boeing P-8A orbiting over the Danube’s Delta.
