FORTE’s Red Sea mission

At this moment (17:00 CEST), a USAF Northrop Grumman RQ-4B (reg. 10-2045 – c/s FORTE13) is flying westward over the Eastern Mediterranean, returning to its base at NAS Sigonella.

The drone took off from the Sicilian base at 00:50 CEST this night, and its track was visible until 04:56 while flying south between Israel and Saudi Arabia.

It’s highly likely that the unmanned aircraft has operated in the Red Sea (or even over Yemen), where it conducted a surveillance mission related to Houthi attacks against maritime traffic
