IKE left Mediterranean Sea

The American aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN-69) has left the Mediterranean, as evidenced by satellite images showing the carrier and an Arleigh Burke-class destroyer sailing south through the Suez Canal.

The USS Eisenhower had entered the Mediterranean on April 26. Since then, it has conducted a series of training activities with allied navies, particularly with the French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle in the central Mediterranean.

Now it is returning to the Red Sea where it will operate in safeguarding commercial maritime traffic against Houthi attacks.
