Italian KC-767 landed in Japan (“Coronavirus mission”)

The Boeing KC-767A (MM62228) of the Italian Air Force took off yesterday evening from Pratica di Mare AB at 19:09 CET in the direction of Japan.

The 767 will bring to Italy 36 Italian citizens and 27 other European citizens who were on board the cruise ship “Diamond Princess” placed in quarantine in the port of Yokohama after some cases of coronavirus have occurred on board.

The plane is landed this morning at 07:15 CET (15:15 local time) at Tokyo airport (HND).

The aircraft, set up with a special configuration for the transport of infectious patients, will return to Italy today.
