Two Italian Air Force Boeing KC-767As (MM62226 & MM62229) left this afternoon Pratica di Mare AB. Over Tyrrhenian Sea the tankers made an aerial refueling east of Sardinia.

The destination of the KC-767s is Lajes AB, air base located on Terceira Island in the Azores, Portugal.

This morning also a Lockheed Martin C-130J (MM62179) left Pisa San Giusto AB for the same destination

This flight is linked to the participation of the Italian Air Force in the Red Flag exercise in Nevada, USA: the two tanker are flying with Italian F-2000 Typhoons (6x) and F-35A (6x).
