Today we’re tracking a new exercise of Italian Air Force over the Tyrrhenian Sea, this time over the northern Tyrrhenian.
This morning are departed from Pratica di Mare AB a Boeing KC-767A (MM62229) and a Gulfstream E.550 CAEW (MM69293). In the area there also some Eurofighter Typhoon departed from Grosseto AB.
We don’t exclude also that some USAF F-16 from Aviano AFB are participating in the exercise.
It’s interesting that the CAEW doesn’t use the typical callsign used for training mission (PERSE) but the callsign used for operational mission (IAM).
