Turkish “umbrella” over Oruc Reis

Busy week start in the eastern Mediterranean.

While the Turkish research ship Oruc Reis continues its survey campaign in the Greek and Cypriot exclusive economic zone (which Turkey does not recognize) escorted by some units of the Turkish navy, two different surveillance mission are made by a Turkish Navy drone Bayraktar TB2 and a Boeing E-7T (13-001) departed from Konya.

It cannot be excluded that a patrol mission is underway by units of the Greek navy and / or by Hellenic Air Force aircraft (at the moment we can only say that the take-off of the Greek Embraer EMB-145 AEW & C has not been recorded -yet-).
