A new mission into Athens FIR for a Turkish Navy aircraft.
At 07:13 CET a Turkish Navy aircraft, an ATR C-72MPA (callsign MARTI78, reg. TCB-751) left NAS Izmit. The aircraft entered into Athens FIR (flight information region) off Dardanelles.
The plane continued its flight over Aegean Sea southbound. For nearly three hours the aircraft flew from north to south over the Aegean Sea (FL080) however, avoiding entering the Greek air space.
At 10:28 CET the ATR landed in Dalaman.
At 12:45 the aircraft left Dalaman to make another similar mission, this time northbound.
These missions are usually made without the authorisation of Greek ATC.
