Turkish Bayraktar over Rhodes?

Share

We have received several messages informing us of a Turkish Navy drone Bayraktar TB2 (callsign Bayraktar TB2) in one of its reconnaissance flights (in progress in these minutes, 17:00 CEST) almost flew over the city of Rhodes, so not only inside the Athens FIR but also in the Greek airspace.

Indeed, the layout on flightradar24 would seem to confirm this flight but often appearances can be deceiving.

In fact, that section of the route is the result of a site error. One or more single incorrect plots led the software to draw a route that in reality did not exist.

In this case, probably the drone entered FIR Athens for a few minutes but did not go beyond 2/3 km.
