New JEDI for Italian Air Force

A new Leonardo EC-27J (reg. CSX2225) for Italian Air Force performed a test flight today. The photo has been taken by Matteo Arrotta this morning in Turin.

This is a “new” aircraft resulting from the conversion of a C-27J (MM62226).

Indeed the EC-27J “Jedi” is based on C-27J and it has been extensively modified (note the numerous antennas in the lower part of the fuselage) to perform Electronic Warfare missions
