Anti-subs outbound Sigonella

Two anti-submarine assets left Sigonella AB late this morning.

They are an RCAF Lockheed CP-140 (reg. 140114) and a USN Boeing P-8A.

Both are heading west. We do not know the reasons for these two flights, but it should be remembered that from 3 to 27 May, the Italian Navy’s “Mare Aperto 2022” exercise will take place in the area around Sardinia, in which the USS Truman will also take part.
