ITS Cavour and ITS Garibaldi back in Taranto

The Italian Navy’s aircraft carriers, the Cavour (C550) and the Garibaldi (C551) are returned in Taranto base in recent days.

The two ships first participated in the Italian Navy’s ‘Mare Aperto 2022’ exercise and then the Cavour, under NATO command, took part in the Neptune Shield 22 exercise.


The two units had left the Taranto base in early May.
