Despite the fact that it is Sunday this morning we are registering quite a lot of air activity in the theatre of the Black Sea.:

  • a couple of USMC McDonnel Dougals F/A-18Cs belonging to the VMFA-323 orbiting over the Danube’s delta making a Combat Air patrol ;
  • USN Lockheed EP-3E (reg. 159893) in flight to eastern Romania;
  • USAF Northrop Grumman RQ-4B (reg. 11-2046 – callsign FORTE11), in flight to NAS Sigonella, after a long surveillance flight over the Black Sea south of Crimea;
  • USN Boeing P-8A, departed NAS Sigonella, in flight to the Romania coast.
