Second day of operations in the eastern Mediterranean for a German Navy Lockheed P-3C based at Sigonella.
The aircraft arrived in Sicily in the afternoon of 31 August and both yesterday and today operated off the Syrian coast, where the port of Tartus, used as a base by Russian Navy units in the Mediterranean, is located.
Today the aircraft (f/n GNY4531) remained in the area for about 1 hour and a half from 12:00 CEST to 13:30 CEST, before returning to Sigonella.
