USNavy air activity over Adriatic Sea

Interesting USNavy air activity this afternoon in the southern Adriatic where the USS George W. Bush (CVN-77) is sailing.

In addition to the usual Grumman C-2A (reg. 162167) from NAS Sigonella carrying supplies, a Grumman E-2D (reg. 169081) took off from the carrier, which is conducting aerial surveillance activity orbiting north of the position where the carrier is located.

It is highly likely that training activity with USNavy aircraft is taking place in the area.
