Another busy morning in the European skies. Several NATO aircraft are in the air to carry out various missions:

  • an Italian Air Force Gulfstream E.550 CAEW (reg. MM62303 – callsign PERSEO71) departed from pratica di mare AB is operating in an unusula area, near the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad
  • an USAF Boeing RC-135W (reg. 62-4139- callsign JAKE11) orbiting near the border between Poland with Belarus and western Ukraine; 
  • another USAF Boeing RC-135W (reg. 62-4138 – callsign HOMER11), departed from Souda bay AB is carrying out a surveillance mission over eastern Romania; 
  • an USNavy Lockheed EP-3E (reg. 159893) is carrying out asurveillance mission over eastern Romania;
  • an US Army Bobardier 650 ARTEMIS is carrying out a mission near the Romanian border with Ukraine and Moldova;
  • an USNavy Boeing P-8A has left NAS Sigonella to perform a surveillance mission over eastern Mediterranean Sea
