The US Navy Los Angeles-class fast-attack submarine USS San Juan (SSN 751) arrived yesterday in Limassol, Cyprus, for a scheduled port visit, Apr. 3, 2023.

USS San Juan (SSN-751) is a Los Angeles-class submarine of the United States Navy. It is the third ship of the US Navy to be named San Juan, though only the second named for San Juan, Puerto Rico. The contract to build her was awarded to the Electric Boat Division of General Dynamics Corporation in Groton, Connecticut on 30 November 1982 and her keel was laid down on 9 August 1985.
The Los Angeles-class submarines are nuclear-powered fast attack submarines that form the backbone of the US Navy’s submarine force. USS San Juan (SSN-751) is one of these submarines and was commissioned on August 22, 1988.
