Italian CAEW eyes over Black Sea

Yesterday morning around 11:34 CET an Italian Air Force Gulfstream E.550 CAEW (reg. MM62293 – callsign PERSEO71) left Pratica di Mare AB to carry out a new surveillance mission.

The aircraft orbited over eastern Romania between the border with Buglaria and the border with Moldova. From this area the aircraft was able to monitorMoldova (with particular attention to the Russian-controlled region of Transinistria), much of south-western Ukraine and western Black Sea.

The aircraft landed in Pratica di mare AB around 18:15 CET after 6 hours of flight.
