This morning we tracked the flights of two American Dash aircraft to Benghazi, Libya.

The first, coming from Tunis, was a Dash 8-300 (reg. N568AW) belonging to the Department of State, while the second, taking off from Malta, was also a Dash 8-300 (reg. N706XT) likely operating for U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM).

The reason for the presence of these two aircraft in Libya is unknown
