In the Western Black Sea, we currently observe two distinct NATO asset missions. On one hand, a routine SIGINT mission is underway on the Danube Delta, involving a USN Boeing P-8A taking off from Sigonella.

A rarer mission to track is that of a Turkish Navy ATR P-72MPA (reg. TCB-754 – c/s MARTI52) patrolling the international waters off southern Romania, where it is conducting a lengthy series of orbits. It’s worth noting that this area is where the grain route of ships carrying Ukrainian wheat to other countries passes through.
