The U.S. aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN-75) left the Mediterranean Sea this morning via the Suez Canal. The vessel is sailing towards the Red Sea, where it will continue its deterrence mission against the Houthi rebels threatening maritime navigation in the area.

The Truman had returned to the Mediterranean (Souda Bay) for a short crew rest period before setting sail again for the Red Sea. However, two weeks ago, before entering the Suez Canal, she collided with a cargo ship and, due to the damage sustained, had to return to Souda for repairs.
