An Hellenic Air Force Embraer EMB-145H AEW&C (374) made this morning a surveillance mission over eastern Mediterranean Sea west of Cyprus.

The aircraft is departed this morning around 10AM CET from Souda Bay AB, Crete. The Embraer made a surveillance mission off western Cyprus in the same area where we’ve tracked friday an USAF Global Hawk making a similar mission.

After the mission the aircraft is returned to Elefsis AB, near Athens.

Note that Turkish drill ship Yavuz started a new round of offshore drilling operations in the eastern Mediterranean after EU (and USA) condemned Turkey’s move to send its ship to the region.
