Italian Ministry of Defence about Predator crash

Italian Ministry of Defence released a statement about the crash of an Italian Air Force General Atomics MQ-9A Predator B (the Italian designation for the “Reaper”) close to the city of Tarhuma, Libya (you can read here the news): “During a surveillance mission made for “Mare Sicuro” operation (Italian central Mediterranean Sea surveillance off the Libyan coast) the contact with the drone was lost and the drone crashed, without control, near Tarhuma.

According to the Italian statement, Libyan authorities knew and approved the flight plan of the drone .
