Turkey claims Syrian L-39 shot down

The official Twitter account of the Republic of Turkey Ministry of National Defence has claimed shooting down a Syrian Arab Air Force Aero L-39 “Albatros. The fate of the pilots are unknown. Syrian Air force uses “Albatros” for close air support.

Probably the aircraft was shot down by a Turkish Air Force F-16 over Jabal Al-Zawiya, Idlib. In the last days Turkey claimed also two Sukhoi Su-24 shot down by Turkish Air Force F-16s.
