HAF AWACS over central Mediterranean Sea

Not a day goes by an AWACS mission over central Mediterranean Sea. In this week we’ve tracked Turkish Air Force and NATO mission.

This morning an Hellenic Air Force Embraer EMB-145H AEW&C (757) departed from Elefsis AB to central Mediterranean Sea. We’ve lost the signal around 09:50 CEST. After one hour the aircraft was trackable again this time in flight to Greece.

In the past we’ve already tracked similar missions made by HAF AEW&C operated as NATO Sea Guardian asset. In all case missions were made in the area between Greece and eastern Libya. Today the area of operation seems to be approximately the same of the flights of Turkish and NATO aircraft in the past days.
