This morning we’ve tracked a long patrol mission done by a Turkish Navy ATR-72 (reg. TCB702? – callsign MARTI02) over the Aegean Sea into Athens FIR.
As you can see the aircraft didn’t entered into Athens airspace but usually this type of flights is operated without the authorization of Greek ATC.
As you can see in the map below Turkey doesn’t recognize the Greek (and International) view of exclusive economic zone (EEZ) including also some Greek island into Turkish EEZ.
