This morning around 07:00 CEST a Turkish Air Force Boeing KC-135R (reg. 58-0110 – callsign TURAF11) left Incirlik AB westbound.

Between 08:30 and 09:00 the aircraft made an aerial refueling session near the Aegean coast (look at the red arrow in the picture) then continued its flight westbound (avoiding Greek airspace).

Arrived south of Venice the aircraft made a U turn to return Incirlik AB.

The aircraft partecipated (probably accompanying figthers) in NATO Steadfast Noon exercise. The annual nuclear exercise brings together more than 50 aircraft from several allied air forces and is hosted by a different NATO country each year. It practices NATO’s nuclear strike mission with dual-capable aircraft (DCA) and the B61 tactical nuclear bombs the US deploys in Europe.
