Italian Lightning II on ITS Cavour

Very interesting. In this photo of the aircraft carrier “Cavour” (C-550) participating in the exercise of the Italian Navy “Mare Aperto” which is taking place these days, a new Lockheed Martin F-35B can be seen on the deck of the ship.

It is the first time that this aircraft participates in an operational exercise of the Italian Navy.
