After a period in the Ionian Sea, where it also participated in an exercise with the American aircraft carrier USS Truman, the French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle (R91) moved to the Adriatic Sea.

In the satellite picture above, taken on 15/03, it is sailing off the coast of Dubrovnik.

In recent days, the aircraft carrier’s assets have carried out several missions.

First of all, the Rafale and E-2C aircraft have taken part in missions over Romania as part of the NATO effort to strengthen the Alliance’s presence in the area following the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

An E-2C is also carrying out surveillance missions within Croatian airspace following the incident involving a drone (Russian or Ukrainian) that crashed near Zagreb last week.

In addition, the Rafale took part in an exercise with the Croatian Air Force’s MiG-21, which will soon be replaced by the Rafale that Croatia has acquired from France.
