New eastern Mediterranean sea mission for the RCAF Lockheed CP-140 “Aurora” (reg. 140103) deployed in Sigonella AB.
The aircraft has departed from the Sicilian airbase around 09:30 CET eastbound and in these minutes (10:00 CET) it’s flying eastbound south of western Crete.
These days, most of the Russian Navy’s surface vessels are in the eastern Mediterranean. In recent days, however, news has leaked out that a Russian Akula class submarine has also entered the Mediterranean, bringing the number of Russian submarines in the Mediterranean theatre to three.
