Unusual NATO’s AWACS activity over Romania

Two NATO Boeing E-3A (reg. LX-N90451 & LX-N90454) have orbited over eastern Romania at the same time in the last two hours.

The first one has departed from Geilenkirchen AB, Germany, the second one from Konya AB, Turkey.

It’s not usual to see two AWACS operating at the same time in the same area.
