Italian Canadairs in action in Portugal

Landed at the Montereal base in Portugal, the two Italian Fire Brigade Canadair CL-415s (reg. I-DPCY & I-DPCI), sent by Italy to support the country against forest fires, carried out a briefing and around 19:00, carried out their first FIRE missions north of the Sado Estuary nature reserve, about 20 miles south-east of Lisbon.

Another mission this evening (see image above) carried out by I-DPCI, this time near the Serra da Estrela nature reserve.
