There are at least three missions underway on the Alliance’s eastern flank, the aim of which is to monitor what is happening in Ukraine, Belarus and Transnistria.

An Italian Air Force Gulfstream E.550 CAEW (reg. MM62293), based in Romania, is orbiting the eastern part of the country, while a USAF RC-135W (reg. 62-4131) is carrying out a similar mission in roughly the same area.

Further north, over Poland, is a USArmy Bombardier CL.60 ARTEMIS (reg. N488CR), also based in Romania, which is carrying out a mission over the country.
