Another busy day in the Black Sea theatre. At least two NATO assets are at work:

  • a NATO Boeing E-3A (reg. LX-N90443 – callsign MAGIC11) departed from Constanta and orbiting the eastern part of Romania;
  • approximately in the same area, but slightly further east, an USN Lockkheed EP-3E “Aries II” (reg. 159887), departed from Souda Bay AB, is carrying a surveillance mission. The Aries is also operating over the Black Sea beyond Romanian airspace but never more than 20 miles from the coast;
