Surveillance mission for a Greek AEW&C. We are accustomed to seeing this type of mission conducted west of Crete, as part of the NATO Sea Guardian or IRINI operations.

However, this time, the Hellenic Air Force Embraer EMB-145 AEW&C (reg. 374), taking off from Elefsis AB, operated in the central Mediterranean, east of Crete.

It’s worth noting that in this area, the American aircraft carrier USS Gerald Ford is located.
