Dozens of Russian flights to Libya

In the past, we’ve tracked several flights operated by Russian Air Force aircraft to eastern Libya.

Evidently, however, there have been many more real flights, as this tweet testifies to us.

The capacity that the Russians provide on a daily basis is extremely underestimated by everyone. pic.twitter.com/zeYAGhi7uk

Up to eight flights per day have been registered since February: all operated via Latakia, Syria.
The aircraft used were Tupolev Tu-134, Tu-154 and Ilyushin Il-76.

It should also be noted that yesterday a Syrian Air Force Ilyushin Il-76 was tracked yesterday flying from Syria to Libya. It is the first time this has happened (or at least it is tracked)

#Libya war expands: Syrian Arab Air Force 585th Transport Squadron of the 29th Air Brigade’s four-engine turbofan airlifter Ilyushin Il-76T YKATA flew from Damascus to Al Khadim AFB in Al-Marj #Libya. Landing now. Al Khadim is 105km east of Benghazi & was built up by UAE. pic.twitter.com/GgnlKrzPm6
