AAR mission near Syrian border

This morning around at 10:03 CET an Italian Air Force Boeing KC-767A (reg. MM62228 – f/n IAM1411) has departed from Pratica di Mare AB eastbound.

After 2:30 hours of flight the Italian tanker has arrived in the area of operations near Gaziantep, south eastern Turkey, near Syrian border. The aircraft is making an air to air refueling mission with some allied planes.

Interestingly, the aircraft avoided Greek airspace on its way to Turkey.
